Delivery

We operate on low overheads, passing savings on to the customer but have the advantage of large warehousing facilities to ensure speedy supply across most product categories. As our product range is so large and our customer requirements can be so different we offer delivery via national couriers, direct delivery from the manufacturer or delivery by ourselves. This can be within 24 hours or for a special bespoke manufacturer order can take several months. The majority of our products are delivered within 48 hours.

Our retail price listed on the internet is provided as a guide. It is then up to each individual consumer to decide upon the level of service we offer. We can offer a “drop-off” service which is delivery to door or a complete install which on a Television may be wall mounting, hidden cables and Ariel installation or on a built-in kitchen appliance may mean altering housing units, removing old equipment and connecting gas or electric (at an additional cost).

Accessories and spares

We can provide you with access to over 4 million spares and accessories across a multitude of products. We can supply a replacement dishwasher cutlery basket or a packet of vac bags, a torch lamp to a printed circuit board.

Barlows retail are members of RETRA, the Radio and Electrical Trade Association. Each of our associated sections are members of the regulatory bodies within their industry. Our Ariel and Satellite installation section are members of the CAI (Confederation of Ariel Industries Ltd. Our plumbing and heating section is CORGI registered (National watchdog for gas safety in the United Kingdom), and our electrical sections are regulated by the NICEIC - the industry’s voluntary regulatory body for electrical safety.

Membership of these organizations should provide customers who purchase from our company with reassurance that we operate under strict codes of practice set up in conjunction with the office of fair trading and the Health and Safety Authorities.

Guarantees

All products sold offer the full manufacturers guarantee, but we can also offer Domestic and General Guarantees as an optional extra or you may also purchase a Maintenance contract operated by the relevant Barlows department (terms and conditions apply).

Experience

Our staff are a mixture of old and new. Life experience mixed with the exuberant of youth. The majority of our managers have been in electrical retail for over 25 years. The younger members of staff have grown up with amazing technical advances and the ability to simplify and communicate these to consumers has provided us with an added dimension.
